dont risk first i'd like to say that i hate 1 star reviews and people who nag about crap that isnt related to the functionality of the itemI bought this item because of all the good reviews it received and didnt believe the 1 star reviews that said it leaks but sure enough it started leaking on me a few days ago.
Worth every penny I love my Thermos 18ounce StainlessSteel Hydration Bottle in Brown. I wasn't sure about the color at first but it looks nothing like it does online. It's really shiny and has a reddish tint in the brown reminds me of coffee or tea. Any cold drink stays cold for the whole day even if out in the sun. Ice cubes seem to take forever to melt. I have tried HOT tea in my thermos as well even though the paper inside when I first opened it said not to try hot drinks in it. I was amazingly surprised that my tea was boiling hot 12 hours later!! The grip is comfortable and the sippy part is just right. The locking mechanism prevents leaks perfectly. I travel with this everywhere I go. It never leaves my side. It's so easy to clean and refill. The bottom paint is chipping a little bit but it still looks just as nice as it did the day I got it. This is a must buy item. Forget about the price because you won't find another thermos worth every penny like this one.
5 Stars Despite Holding Smells Absolutely love this thermos. It is sturdy and keeps drinks cold for many hours. It does not leak even after withstanding multiple falls from table tops. My only complaint is that it does tend to hold smells if you've had anything but plain water in it. I'm a big fan of Crystal Lite drinks so it may benefit you to buy two of them 1 for plain water and a 2nd for juices or at least a long scrubbing brush to give it a thorough wash if you plan on switching between flavors. Either way I still give it five stars for the length of time that it is able to keep drinks cold.
Works great Keeps your drink cold. I love this little thermos. Wish it held more but I love the fact that it actually fits in the car cup holder.
A waste of money I purchased this thinking it was good for both hot and cold beverages but that was my fault. I decided to just keep it for use in the future. I used it first time for hiking and then a few time for gym recently. It started leaking after just a few use. Will definitely not recommend. Don't buy this if you want something that works.
Finally a water bottle you can love! I've tried several other brands of water bottle Nathan Contigo etc. and I had problems with all of them. But I can finally say I've found a water bottle that I'm happy with for everyday use! It's got all the features that I wanted and it does what it's designed to do well. It's stainless steel so you don't have to worry about unknown chemicals leeching into your water. It's insulated to keep your drink hot or cold and to prevent condensation on the outside of the bottle. It has a rubber grip to keep your hand from getting hot or cold. You can flip the cap open with one hand. You can easily get a generous amount of liquid in one gulp. It doesn't leak at all. And it's nice looking. Overall excellent design. There are two small drawbacks but I didn't think them significant enough to detract from my overall five star rating since I think this is one of the best water bottles I've tried. The other bottle I really like is the Camelbak Podium Chill Jacket but it's a very different kind of bottle. The drawbacks of this bottle that I can see are one there is no carabiner clip if that's important to you and two the cap seems a bit delicatelike it could break if you accidentally dropped the bottle directly on the cap. But overall I'm really happy with my purchase of this bottle.
Overall a winner but could use improvement Initial inspection reveals another quality item made by Thermos but the company would be better served if they consult hikers soldiers and outdoor enthusiasts on the design. Pros double wall stainless steel construction and removable rubber sleeve never know when you might need to melt snow over hot coalsare top notch. Size is perfect for on the go hydration. I love the charcoal /gun metal finish great for hunting and tactical applications. Cons worried flip top could be broken off thereby rendering water bottle useless the push button top flips open and the seal to the drinking spout is in the lid would be better if the drinking spout could be shut off from leaking if top cover was broken off. Also the bottle needs a top that has a place to attach a carabiner or maybe the whole bottle could come with a pouch that can be mounted on a belt and be Molle compatable for the military. Overall I am happy but again only time and use will tell the whole story.
Awesome Thermos I have three of these and they keep my water cold all day. They keep hot liquids hot too but it does it so well you cannot drink right from the thermos without burning yourself so bring a cup. I use these everyday and have different colors for the kids when we go hiking. I bought extra rubber washers because I lost one once but those are cheap. The rubber grip sometimes moves out of place when I have it in my backpack pocket but I just slide it back. I tried several different kinds before settling on this one don't know what I would do without it.
As Pictured??? I love this style of Thermos but I wanted the brown that was pictured. A true brown with a kind of dull finish. What I received from Amazon.com which I usually trust was a high gloss redish brown. Like I said I love this style so I will keep it but I really hate false advertisement in any form whether it is the description or what is pictured. I really am disappointed in Amazon.com.
Perfect for all age groups except toddlers and infants Bit expensive but worth every penny spent on it perfect grip stylish and above all keep the water cool. My 7 years old just love it. In fact his water intake has increased because of it.
