Excellent product This is a great water bottle cage. I didn't even know there was such a thing I was carrying a water bottle in an unzipped handlebar bag and it was less than ideal. This cage was easy to install and is placed perfectly.
Fell apart on first ride I tightened this to my wife's bike as instructed and after one ride it loosened and fell off the handlebars.
Very Handy I needed a 2nd bottle of water on my Trek ladies hybrid in this hot weather. Thought the handlebar would be too crowded but works great and reminds me to drink having it right there. I like that I can easily remove it and take it with me to use on rental bike on vacation.
PERFECT bottle cage/holder i got this for about $5.
Bottle holder It hold so securely. I put it on and that was it. It doesn't shift at all. It is great to have the water right up next to my hands. I can get some water without even getting off the bike now.
Nice looking bottle cage for kids bikes This is a handlebar mounting bottle cage and worked great for my son's bike which does not have the regular bottle cage bolts and also has large diameter frame tubes all over. So standard bottle cages just don't work but this one mounts on the handle bar and it's black color matches the handlebar as well.
good it fits nice and doesnt move. just wish it was adjustable for different cup sizes. You pretty much need to buy a few cups to figure out which one fits snug enough that it doesnt fall out.
nice product I bought this for my daughter's bike and she loves it. She can now go riding with me and she can carry her own fluids.
Doesn't fit all handlebars Purchased two of these for use on my kids bikes as their frames have no boss mounts for frame mounted cages as found on adult bikes. Fits my son's bike securely however it does not fit my daughter's bike as her handlebars don't have a large enough diameter. Thus the cage slowly spins around once weighted with a full bottle which means the bottle constantly falls out. I've tried to sandwich in the extra foam they provide but even that doesn't snug it enough on her bike thus the cage is basically useless.Note these cages are pretty large/long and could pose a hazard if you smash against your handlebars as the long back part of the cage will be pointing right at you assuming you mount it to the handlebar as designed. Thankfully it's rounded not pointed or squared.
Nice Concept Be aware of the Socket Head Screw Mounting. This is a great idea to be able to attach your water bottle right in front of you. Makes it very easy to rehydrate while riding without having to stop and retrieve a bottle from a cage below or behind you. Love this Bottle!1/5/12 The metal clip broke.. ***1st review***This bottle is larger than I thought which was great because I drink a ton of water. It truly is a pretty and well constructed bottle and the fact it has a flip straw is awesome because I feel I do drink more water with this straw feature. This bottle came with 2 inner straw replacement attachments which makes for quick and easy cleaning. There is a clip on the top that I clip to my shoulder bag hiking pack or what ever else I need it to clip to. The clip is a little on the small side but perfect for holding it with 1 finger.Thanks for a great water bottle I will be ordering more soon I love all the pretty/fun designs!**UPDATE** 1/4/2012 I almost lost my keys at the gym because I had them clipped to the clip on the bottle. This sucks because now I have to go back to locking my things in the locker which used to be a great time saver for me. I am dropping 2 stars from my original review. Please make the clip stronger and this bottle would be the best.
Great Water Bottle design I have many water bottles probably to many over the years! and I've got bored of the usual smell that arrives no matter how much you wash them.I thought i had found the right water bottle when i wanted one that was bpa free pastic had a flip mouth piece straw solid construction and had something to attach a carabiner. It was a camelbak. All was good until A i dropped the bottle and it snapped a small piece that your finger gripped on to open the straw and then B i went and cleaned the flip tube to much with a cleaner and broke the small silicon tube that connects the whole thing together so it was useless. No problem i'll get a new cap with straw. Nope they don't sell them!!So after many years with camelbak i went looking around and finally found the Nathan metal water bottle. I have never gone for metal thinking it was impractical but once i decided to go with metal i found Nathan are the only ones that have the fip and straw set up with a metal bottle. Im very happy with my purchase.
Excellent longlasting bottle I've had this bottle for more than 2 years and I love it. It is durable and it lasts a long time.It's easy to clean and it's doesn't have the moldy smell that plastics normally do. It does sweat and it does spurt water out but I found that if I leave the straw open when I'm just sitting at my desk it reduces that chance of spurt.
Perfect dirty hands waterbottle I am a nurse and while my hands are washed a million times a day I don't want to touch the public computer or patients charts at the hospital and then touch the straw I put in my mouth. But I do want a straw as I will spill if not. This water bottle is perfect. The straw is like a lever that you push on one end and the straw pops up. Push the end the other way and the straw goes back down. The other end is a clip that you could clip to a backpack or something. It does sweat on the outside though so you have to decide if you can stand that.
Lovely. This is a charming water bottle. I bought it for my 101yearold grandmother and it really doesn't work for her just a little too heavy. I can't fault the bottle for thatit's perfect for all but the very young or very old.
Warm weather warm drink Very disappointed in my Nathan water bottle it does not keep the water cold even when I loaded it down with ice cubes. I assumed that it would keep my water cold like a thermos type bottle. Wrong and it also makes the water taste nasty. I would not recommend this water bottle to anyone else.
I would marry this waterbottle. This water bottle is fantastic. I love Nathan's products they are built to last. This is the third stainless steel bottle of theirs I have owned because each bottle lasts about a year for me. I carry it with me EVERYWHERE I go in the car on walks to church to the grocery store everywhere. They last through countless drops on the floor falls out of the car children biting the crap out of the straw etc.These bottles don't leak. Obviously if you turn them upside down with the spout open it's going to spill a little but it quits pretty quickly. If the spout is closed you might get a drop or two of water spilled but that's nothing compared to most bottles. I love that the bottles don't leak because I have a 4 year old who does not get the concept of right side up.I also love that you don't have to bite down on the straw to suck the water out. It's just like a normal straw.I will never buy another brand of bottle.These wash easily there is never a weird plastic or metal taste to the water the water stays cool forever and they fit perfectly in my car cup holder. They can get heavy if you're on a long hike even with the belt clip thing they are a little unwieldy but I am going to get a water bottle sling so that won't be an issue anymore.
Awesome water bottle! Absolutely love this water bottle! The flip straw is so convenient & I do not miss having to unscrew a cap! It's simple & works great. While I'm driving in the car I don't have to worry about using both hands just to get a sip of water.
Go Charity Water Agree with sweating comments and squirting as well made a change to Thermos from Charity Water. $25 but all proceeds go to Charity Water and the Thermos water bottle is the BEST. Keeps ice cubes frozen for hours and no sweating at all. Bottom plastic part comes if you put in dishwasher but not otherwise.

Sweats a lot I am surprised to see all the good reviews of this bottle. My husband and I went together to buy bottles I chose the Nathan because of the grip and bright colors. My husband chose a brand with the dreaded bite valve that I hate. I should have listened to him. My bottle sweats a lot and makes a mess and the water gets warm really quickly. My husband's bottle will keep ice for over 24 hours and never sweats. Needless to say I am jealous and have to chunk the Nathan. It's too bad since I really do despise bite valves.
Great Bottle The flip straw is great. It's super comfy to sip through. I have the bigger one too which is great but this one is more portable.
Best Waterbottle Purchased Like this bottle so much that this is the second Nathan bottle I've ordered. Easy open and close. Came with 3 straws.

exactly what i had been looking for! I had been looking for a water bottle to use both at work and when I go hiking and the size 500mL straw design and ergonomical grip were perfect. It is very light weight but sturdy and fits easily in a woman's hand. It is not bulky or awkward to carry or use like alot of other bottles I've bought.
Doesn't hold up We really liked this bottle at first so much so that we bought about 10 a few weeks later hoping to replace water bottles entirely for our very active family. We use them in what I think is a fairly normal way in the car in the stroller washed about weekly and generally cared for.
perfect cup for growing children! I bought this in an attempt to make my child more responsible about his drinking he is 2 and getting a little addicted to his sippie cups and I hoped that having an actual straw cup would be an easier transition.
Surprisingly fragile bottle disappoints I agree with the positive comments about this bottle's overall design. It's clean ergonomic light great size etc.And until recently I would have given this bottle much higher marks.But it hasn't been able to withstand arguably minor knocks.For example I was walking on a crowded sidewalk and twisted to avoid a collision. The bottle harnessed in my backpack's external sleeve smacked a fence and destroyed the cap's clip. That was super annoying but the straw and bottle were still functional. But yesterday the filled bottle fell out of the sleeve to the floor about four feet and the plastic base of the cap cracked finito. The steel component is great but I'm forced to conclude that the other pieces are too weak to last long term.
Great product! I have used the larger Nathan's water bottle for a long time but it was not as handy as the smaller size. These bottles keep liquids cool and won't leak all over your things. They are reusable so every day I save a plastic bottle or two. This is a great product and I highly recommend it.
Perfect bottle This bottle was perfect and is used very regularly. Well built and easy to clean. Came with extra straws inside as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone shopping out there. Keeps my drinks cold and easily clips to a belt or backpack.

Gone through two of these I recently purchased this water bottle after my first one broke I accidentally dropped it on our tile floors I thought it was just a freak accident as I have had other water bottles by this brand that have never broken. However it happened to me yet again today I was at work and dropped it on a carpeted floor and water went everywhere I do not recommend this item.

Not worth the money if it can't hold up. I would have expected it to be able to hold up to being dropped. It's a sports bottle right? Big bummer and a waste of money. Really disappointing that I have to pay for and find a new one that will hopefully hold up to being used.
Awesome water bottle My daughter wanted a water bottle to bring to her college class and be able to drink unobtrusively not have to tip up a big container. She heard about bottles with straws and I found this one. The sipping mechanism works great. The straw reaches the bottom of the container and extra straws are included. It comes apart for easy cleaning. Unfortunately it does dribble a little when shook or not upright. Otherwise a great product.
Durable Convenientprefer over Camelbak When I lost my old trusty wide mouth Nalgene of 8 years last summer I knew exactly what I was looking for in a new bottle.Bright orange color favorite colornot important durable straw sip mechanism NO bite valve transparent enough to see water line and clip on lid.I looked through so many bottlesthe top two flip straw bottles at the time were Camelbak and Nathan. The Camelbaks are nice. Many of my friends have them. The only problem is how easily mold can grow in the bite valve. So I got the Nathan instead and couldn't be more satisfied.Unlike many other customers I do not have problems with my bottle squirting when I flip the straw out or water pooling anywhere. Sometimes the lid leaks a little if water collected at the base of the mouth piece but I really haven't experienced any other problems with this product.The thing I like most about flip straw bottles is being able to drink while in motion!One little thing that I didn't expect is that the outer layer of film on the bottle that gives the bottle a foggy transparent look instead of clear transparency is starting to flake off little by little. So my bottle looks a bit like a healing sunburn right now. But it functions well which is what matters.
Great Adult sippy cup Due to severe arthritis in my hands I am constantly dropping plastic tumblers of ice water on our hardwood floors.I tried one of these as an alternative. I just remove the internal straw and use it like a child's sippy cup.This is the best of several brands including all that REI has to offer for my purposes.
Very convenient and promotes drinking water. I found when I started using this item that I would drink more water. It's very convenient to carry spill proof and leak proof. I got this for myself and my kids.
ZERO STARS! It arrived BROKEN!! Really?? I was all excited to receive my Nathan 700 ml Tritan Bottle with Flip Straw. It arrived today on schedule. I took it out of the box looked it over only to find that the bottom of the bottle was cracked across the entire diameter! I filled it with a little water just to be sure my eyes weren't deceiving me and the water went right through the crack. Disappointing to say the least. Returning this piece of garbage immediately.
love this bottle durabledependable I have used my bottle for almost a year now. almost daily .. The worst I've done to it is I've dropped it while riding my bike. The first time while riding my road bike I let it slip while forcing it into my bottle cage and it wound up with only minor scuffs. the bottle fits in to a few of my bottle cages OK and a couple they are just a bit tight. The second time I was riding my cruiser and it popped up out of my front basket when i hit a crazy hidden bump. the bottle jumped up and hit the ground bouncing down the side walk over the curb and down the street . my bottle now has battle scars .. My tow preschoolers have done their worst and My littlest has finally messed up the bite by biting it off and it is now split in two and needs to be replaced but it is a good size and holds about a half day of water for me at work. I like the straw arrangement when I'm driving and It makes it easier to drink while in my truck. I have trouble tipping back my Kleen Kanteens to get the last 10 percent out of them I also don't have to take my eyes off the road either. The one gotcha is I have had it spurt a geyser on an airplane due to the pressure issues when i closed it at the gate and then opened it after we were in the air. I guess that says a lot about its water and air tightness. After My wife kept stealing mine I had to get her one of her own.

At $10+ a pop they aren't cheap and the only way to be sure is to buy them and try them out. I prefer the strawed type because I ride a bike a lot and I don't like losing my view of what's ahead when I heave my head back to drink.PROSEASY TO CLEAN. Some have very narrow openings that aren't machine washable.EXTRA STRAWS. Straws invariably become bent or useless. This is the only bottle I've seen with extras.SHATTER RESISTANT. A full bottle falling several feet onto the sidewalk or pavement and shattering when you're miles from a water supply is really inconvenient.CONVENIENT ATTACHMENT MECHANISM. Especially for a bike or backpack the springloaded latch on this bottle is very reliable.CONSISTENT FLUID STREAM. Poorly designed straw types start leaking air which isn't efficient sounds terrible and ruins the taste.COMFORTABLE FEEL TO THE MOUTH. The soft rubber spout prevents injury from jarring such as when you're running. It also detaches for easy cleaning.NONPOISONOUS PLASTIC.
Updated Long Term Use Review I use this water bottle for indoor treadmill running as well as Vinyasa yoga. I like that it is a style that does not need to be inverted in order to drink from. It comes with extra straw inserts and is BPA free lightweight and sturdy. The spout works great and is a no bite style.The number one reason I love it is because I don't have to tilt my head back while running 9 mph on the treadmill to take a drink.UpdatedSo the thin coating on the exterior of the plastic started peeling off due to rubbing against things my yoga mat bag?. Not a big deal. It's just the coating that gives it the extra grip.The major problem I have now is with mildew/mold odor on the rubber nozzle. I regularly clean the bottle with hot water and have even soaked the nozzle and straw in detergent and water. After about a year pretty long time it has a persistent mildew smell which has somehow worked into the rubber. I was going to purchase a new nozzle but replacement nozzles are almost as much as a new bottle nozzle plus shipping I get free prime shipping on the actual bottle.I docked it one star for this. But otherwise it has held up well for a year I just wish they had an alternative material for the nozzle or included an extra nozzle as they do the extra straws.

Klean Kanteen Sippy Cover Adapter Great!
Not so 'klean' The klean kanteen itself is great lightweight easy to clean and best of all plasticfree. But the green sippy cup attachment is very tough to keep clean if you use this bottle for milk. If you don't rinse right away and get under the silicone seal as well the rancid milk smell/residue is hard to remove. And no I haven't found this bottle to be leakproof although that can depend on how tightly you assemble it. I find the EIO jar solutions much easier to keep clean.
Love it I love this sippy. I have the Kanteen for myself and my son is always taking it. So I got one for him with the sippy lid. The lid does leak if you don't put it on just right but I LOVE the sippy. I would recommend this to other people and I will get this for the other kids as well.
Finally Finally a stainless steel bottle that doesn't leak. I don't really expect a lot from a sippy except for I was looking for one made from something other than plastic and something that wouldn't leak. Apparently it's a lot to ask for b/c every single stainless sippy cup we have tried had some sort of a leakage problem. This one doesn't leak plus it's really a perfect shape for those little hands.
My girl loves it! Beautiful functional design. No leak problem and super easy to clean. Great quality. My one year old loves it and we take it everywhere. Will continue to buy this as my child grow.
Great! Very useful! This bottle is all that the reviews saids. It does not leak and keeps water cool. My 2 years old son loves it and carries it all around. The only downside is that the first one that I purchased eventually ended up with a little hole because it fell so many times from the hands of a kid.
only sippy cup my son will take. I love this because I can put ice cold water in it and expect it to stay that way the entire day. My son was an avid breastfeeder and he didn't take bottles or other sippy cups well. He drinks mostly out of straws but when I need a sippy cup at night this is my go to. The spout is long enough that my son can drink out of it with ease. One warning though this gets SUPER cold think frostbite! Buy the built NY sleeve for this or your little one won't be able to hold it without crying.
NOT Leak Proof We were really excited to find these sippies we have 2 year old triplets & ordered 3 and planned on replacing our plastic ones. That's not going to happen. We filled them with just water for the first time and put them in our diaper bag to go out. When we got to our destination one of the kanteens was on it's side completely empty and the bag was soaked. I thought well maybe I didn't tighten it properly. So of course I checked out the other 2 kanteens and tightened them and they still LEAK when the kanteens are on their side.
Love These!!! We only drink water and milk in our house and these are perfect water bottles for our 2 and 3 year olds. They used Avent sippy cups so this was a smooth transition. Plus the water tastes great! No metallic after taste. Easy to clean. My children now stay wellhydrated throughout the day. Once you're out of the sippy top phase it's easy to replace with a standard sport or open top. BPA free.
Durable Safe Sippy Great sippy cup work well and the sippy spout is made out of hard plastic. My toddler likes to chew on the soft ones so I was a little worried about the durability of the spout glad to say it is GREAT. One thing to note is that I have an older toddler 20m and ordered the sippy spout he had a hard time figuring out how to suck on it since we mostly used cups. I suggest the sport's cap it now it perfect.
best sippy cup ever Simply constructed easy to wash thoroughly easy to used seems to be and no leak what so ever. I love the fact that I can replace the mouth piece. I am really satisfied with this product and regret that I had to tried so many others before this one.

Nathan Hydration Tritan Straw BottleB004P0LM4E Best bottle for me
love the flip! Bought this for running long distance to fit into a little handholder. Light clear washes well and it's easy to sip from.
best water bottle This BPAfree flipstraw water bottle is so much more convenient to use than others. With this bottle you just flip the straw up drink flip the straw down as opposed to the nuisance with others having to unscrew a top off hold it drink rescrew the top back on. Also the semi or wholly transparent bottle is nice easy to see what is in the bottle and how much remains.
no toxins! This is a great product! Straw works more openly than others I've seen in health food store & it clips on back pack or pocketbook.
Best bottle for me I love these Nathan water bottles sooooo much. It's a bummer that they leak if tipped over a constant issue with 2 young kids running around but I still love them. It's my favorite bottle to use to work out because the water comes out so fast sometimes I feel like I just have to work too hard with Camelbak's.Just a note I don't know why the picture has an orange straw mine came with a blue straw. Not a big deal but it always does bug me when the picture doesn't match the product.
Nice but leaks
Excellent water bottle I had the stainless steel version of this but after dropping it a few times and several dents later decided bpa free plastic was a better way to go. Love the Nathan water bottles. the flip straw is very convenient.
sturdy plastic straw bottle I've had four of these for a year they are awesome. the smaller size fits in a bike bottleholder and car cup holders large is too big but you can fit a hand in the large for easy cleaning. For those of us who aren't keen on water the straw makes it effortless to down healthy quantities just a slurp or two and before you know it you've consumed half a liter. The yellow plastic straw tip is soft rubber no way to chip a tooth. The handle lever pushes the yellow tip into locked position so it can't spill. plus there's a place on the handle that allows this to hook onto a backpack or belt. The BPAfree plastic is dishwasher safe hasn't clouded up or altered in any way. It doesn't alter the taste of water or any other liquid. A very wellthoughtout ingenious product.
Great bottle! These are great BPA free bottles. I like the flip top straw and that you don't need to bite it to use it. My kids switched to these very easily. They are not 100% spill proof though any liquid in the straw pours right out when tipped. Eventually it stops though.This color actually looks hot pink in person in our opinion. One of the extra straws included was cut in half so it was useless.
BEST BOTTLE EVER I have bought a 2nd larger bottle since getting this one. I love it. It comes with 2 extra straws in case you fill it with something flavored. You can just suck on it to get a drink no need to tilt your head. Great for being lazy.
it leaks and they broke within weeks I bought three of these for a trip. The bottles are easy to keep clean but they leak if they are not upright. Two of them broke within a few weeks they fell on the floor and the body cracked.
